David N. Tinsley, CLU®, ChFC®, AIF®
Financial Services Representative
David N. Tinsley brings several decades of planning experience to his advisory and wealth management practice at Tinsley Financial Group. He left the banking industry in 1980 and entered the financial services industry. He has served as a financial advisor ever since.
For 15 years, David was the resident investment specialist for the DeYoung-Wasgatt Insurance Agency, which in turn was a large general agency for The New England Life Insurance Company and New England Securities. In this role, he was responsible for training and supporting 40 advisors. In 2016, he joined Commonwealth Financial Network, the largest independent broker-dealer in the country.
David earned his Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations from The American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania in 1984. He also holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 22, 63, and 65 licenses and the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation (AIF®).
David has served as president of the Estate and Business Planning Council of Worcester County; president, Worcester Life Underwriters Association; president, Massachusetts Life Underwriters Association (now MEFA); and ethics chairman, Society of Financial Service Professionals of Central Massachusetts.
Originally from Worcester, David attended Classical High School and received a BA in history from the College of the Holy Cross in 1969. He lived in Sterling, Massachusetts from 1975 to 2017, when he and his wife, Carolyn, moved to Boylston. David and Carolyn also have a home in Centerville, Massachusetts. He is the proud father of seven sons and three grandsons (and counting). He enjoys fishing, golf, spending time with family and friends, and his frequent travels to Cape Cod.
George E. Vogel, ChFC® , MSFS, AIF®
Employee Benefits Services
George E. Vogel is president, employee benefit services, at the Tinsley Financial Group, LLC. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the employee benefits area. He is a Chartered Financial Consultant, Chartered Life Underwriter, and licensed insurance consultant.
George has served on the boards of numerous educational and social service organizations and as past president of the Worcester Estate and Business Planning Council, the Wachusett Area Rotary Club, and the Chapter of Financial Services Professionals of Worcester.
George has taught numerous courses in the Employee Benefit and Financial Services curriculum of the Chartered Financial Consultant program. He also taught the Executive Benefits course in the graduate programs of the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.
George is a graduate of Nichols College with a degree in business management. He holds an MS degree in financial services from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, and a master of divinity degree from the Andover Newton Theological School in Newton, Massachusetts.
George has spoken throughout the U.S. on employee benefit and financial services issues. He has written numerous articles on employee benefit and financial services topics and is co-author of, “Anderson on Financial Planning,” published by Dow Jones-Irwin.
Daniel C. Tinsley
Financial Services Representative
Daniel C. Tinsley has worked as a financial advisor since 2012. His practice is primarily dedicated to serving the retirement and wealth management needs of business owners, executives, and successful families throughout New England. In a prior career, Daniel worked as an independent insurance agent and was affiliated with a large firm in Worcester, Massachusetts. In the early part of his career, Mr. Tinsley received training at The Hartford School of Insurance in Hartford, CT and the One Beacon Producer Training Program in Canton, MA.
Daniel holds the FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses. He maintains securities licenses in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Florida, New Jersey, and California.
Originally from Sterling, Massachusetts, Daniel graduated from Wachusett Regional High School and the College of the Holy Cross where he received a BA in philosophy in 2001.

Daniel resides in Worcester, Massachusetts. He enjoys spending time with family and friends. His other interests, in no particular order, are: road trips, eating at diners, reading, hunting, medieval philosophy, Catholic theology, exercise, and nutrition.
Edward A. Parent
Edward A. Parent is an Executive Assistant for Tinsley Financial Group, LLC. Assisting David Tinsley for 22 years in the financial services industry, Ed has done all things administrative throughout the years. Ed is a Registered Staff Member of Commonwealth Financial Network® and he holds FINRA Series 6, 63, 7, 24 and 66 securities registrations.
Ed’s organized nature helps him to perform a variety of day-to-day duties, which can include transaction processing, trading, customer service, and the preparation of letters, documents, spreadsheets and charts. He has researched countless items throughout the years, and has communicated with numerous vendors, home office employees, and departments in areas such as compliance, licensing, compensation, and technology.
Ed graduated from Doherty High School, Worcester, MA in 1984. He has performed administrative duties ever since graduating.
In 2016, Ed moved to Sturbridge, Massachusetts and enjoys spending time with his wife of 31 years, three teenagers, and four cats. He has a wide range of interests, which include playing the piano and billiards, and caring for his home and property.
Fun facts for Ed: He has an uncanny memory for information, especially for numbers and dates; has been referred to as “Fast Eddy” for his pool playing skills; has played the piano for over 30 years; and has always enjoyed witty humor, such as the Far Side comic strip. He wants to change his last name to “Spend-O-Matic” due to his family’s Olympic style ability to purchase anything and everything at a pace beyond human understanding.
Laurie A. Hamilton, FLMI
Laurie A. Hamilton has worked in financial services for over 25 years and has been with David Tinsley’s group for the past 14 years. She has extensive experience assisting in life, disability, long-term care, and annuity sales for Tinsley Financial Group. She also provides exceptional, personalized customer service to our clients.
Laurie is life licensed and holds the FINRA Series 6 securities registration and the FLMI (Fellow, Life Management Institute) designation.
Laurie graduated from Norton High School and received her associate degree in business administration from Massasoit Community College.
Laurie resides in Worcester, Massachusetts, with her two children. She enjoys spending time at the softball and field hockey fields supporting her daughter and helping out with her son's DJ business. She also enjoys hiking, cooking for her friends, reading, and spending time with her five brothers and sisters.
